Auction of high-value timber

The auction for high-value timber, renowned for its quality and utility in crafting musical instruments, furniture, boats, and more, was once again held in Carinthia this year.

A remarkable total of 9566 logs were collected, making a record quality. While most of the log owners come from Slovenia, there is also representation from Croatia, Hungary, and Austria. The customer base primarily comprises Slovenian buyers, with additional interest from neighbouring countries, Germany, Serbia, etc.

Our company also actively participated in the auction. As part of the management of the forest above Tržič, we presented a mountain sycamore log, which secured the highest bid at €14,960 per cubic meter, translating to just under €23,500 for the entire log.
