Invitation to tender for the investment in the procurement of new machinery and equipment for logging and timber harvesting under the RDP 2014-2020 for the year 2017.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Within the "Investment in the procurement of machinery for logging and timber harvesting" initiative, Megales, d. o. o., Strahinj, has made a strategic investment in acquiring new forestry machinery and equipment for logging and harvesting. The investment encompassed the procurement of a timber harvesting board, a pulley (utilized for rope extraction), a tilt warning system, a radio control system, a forestry folding machine equipped with a transport lift (150kW), a comprehensive forestry superstructure, a standard four-wheel agricultural tractor (101–125kW), a processor harvester head, and a winch featuring two 10-ton drums. This investment is co-funded with financial support from the European Union.
The objective of the activity and the investment is to enhance production capacity and overall productivity within Megales, d. o. o., Strahinj, ultimately leading to improved business performance. The investment is strategically directed towards enhanced working conditions and safety in the forest and the introduction of efficient and environmentally responsible technology for felling and harvesting.
The outcomes of the activity include the creation of three new job opportunities directly associated to the investment, as well as the acquisition of state-of-the-art forestry machinery and equipment for logging and harvesting operations.

"PROCUREMENT OF A FORESTRY FORWARDER"
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
As part of the "PROCUREMENT OF A FORESTRY FORWARDER", Megales, d. o. o., Strahinj, will acquire an articulated forwarder designed for timber transport. This strategic investment will increase production volumes and improve productivity, subsequently contributing to increased company revenues. The investment is co-funded with a grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTED RESULTS
The objective of the investment is to increase the production capacity and overall productivity, and improve the company’s managerial efficiency.
The investment yields the following outcomes: the creation of four new positions within the company, directly linked to the investment, and the acquisition of a new forwarder for timber transport.
