PEFCTM The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, is also an international non-profit and non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management through third-party certification, while enabling tracking and control of the timber’s origin sourced from certified forests, through every step of the production process, encompassing timber extraction, processing, transport, storage, all the way to the sale of the product to the end consumer. This program is specifically designed to cater to the needs of smaller forest owners. It operates across over 30 countries, each with their own national certification scheme tailored to local requirements and legislation, all while complying with strict international standards. More than 240 million hectares of forests worldwide are now certified.
SURE certificate
Verification of sustainable resources.
SURE is the (Sustainable Resources) verification Scheme. The scheme was issued to provide economic operators with a practical, independent and reliable solution for verifying the sustainable use of biomass in accordance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2018/2001 (RED II).
The scheme has been reviewed and approved by the European Commission, which means it ensures full compliance with the requirements of the RED II Directive.
The SURE certification demonstrates that the organization operates in accordance with RED II requirements, strives to reduce greenhouse gas (GPG) emissions, ensures sustainable land use, produces and sells sustainable products and ensures socially responsible business.

The Excellent SME Slovenia online certificate represents a prestigious accolade recognizing outstanding business performance. Based on the 2023 analyses, Dun & Bradstreet awards MEGALES, d. o. o., Strahinj, the privilege to display the internationally recognised Silver Excellence status. Companies qualifying for this distinction must consistently meet the A, AA, or AAA rating excellence criteria for three consecutive years.
